What do you like most about being part of the Latin Rhythms Family?

It is definitely a privilege to be part of this artistic and talented family.  I enjoy the comfort it provides; that being through humor and support.

What advice would you give to a BEGINNING SALSERO? - - Someone who may, at first, be intimidated to learn salsa... but truly wants to become a great Salsero/Salsera!

Learning any type of dance takes time.  Like everything, everyone learns at different paces, it's just a matter of finding out what level you're at and taking it from there.  Most important be patient and act like a sponge; absorb it ALL.

Please give your dance background and technical experience

My dance career began in 1999 when I was accepted to the Barat College Conservatory of Dance.  At this point, I had NO dance experience, but after an intense training of Ballet, Modern and Jazz, I received an endorsement to teach dance at the High School level.  Through this endorsement, I have had the opportunity to work for many high schools; choreographing for their annual dance concerts and musicals.  Through my choreography I have received various recognitions such as, Most Original Choreography for "West Side Story" at the 2001 Illinois State Theater Festival in 2001.  In addition, one of my dance pieces was featured at the Field Museum in Chicago for the 2001 Golden Apple Scholars Awards.
